What this site is
The End of Us is a curated archive of independent films that share thematic territory with the 2021 indie rom-com The End of Us. We index films by genre, keyword, and theme — then weight similarity on shared keywords (60%) and shared genres (40%) — so every recommendation reflects how the film feels, not just how it’s categorised.
Who runs it
The archive is maintained by a small editorial team of indie-film enthusiasts. We don’t accept paid placement or affiliate commissions — the recommendation engine answers to the data, not to advertisers.
How we choose films
Every film in the archive was filtered from public film metadata using a specific rule set:
- Genre must include at least one of Comedy, Drama, or Romance.
- Keywords must include at least one of quarantine, pandemic, lockdown, isolation, breakup, divorce, relationship, indie, roommate, apartment.
- Release year between 2015 and 2025.
